The latest osteoporosis diagnostic technology now available in Poland!
EchoStation
The EchoS device is based on R.E.M.S. technology, which uses radiofrequency waves. This enables early diagnosis of osteoporosis by examining the axial skeleton. Densitometry of the lumbar spine and femoral neck is performed without exposing patients to X-rays.
Innovative densitometry
System EchoS jest innowacyjnym urządzeniem, które w oparciu o technologię R.E.M.S., Radiofrequency Echographic Multi-Spectrometry, wykorzystuje fale o częstotliwości radiowej do analizy gęstości kości. Pozwala to ocenić jej strukturę i stan zdrowia.
Advanced technology from Norax Medical
The technology used in the EchoS system makes it possible to perform bone density testing of the lumbar spine and femoral neck in a quick and comfortable manner. The resulting medical report shows the microstructure of the inner bone and indicates potential disease symptoms of osteoporosis.
Densitometry using the EchoS system is an alternative to current osteoporosis diagnostic technologies. Due to the non-invasive nature of the test, it allows regular monitoring of bone density status.
Osteoporosis diagnostics
Bone density testing with the EchoS system takes between 40 and 80 seconds. It depends on the selected location. Densitometry provides two numerical parameters: Osteoporosis Score - O.S., which is directly correlated with the measurement of Bone Mineral Density (BMD, in g/cm²), and Fragility Score - F.S., which is currently under research - to independently assess bone fragility and thus the risk of fracture in osteoporosis.
Medical report
The EchoS medical report contains all the known parameters needed to diagnose osteoporosis: BMD measurement (g/cm²), T-Score, Z-Score and Body Composition Index analysis. In addition, the F.S. index allows us to assess the quality of the microarchitecture of the internal bone structure. It provides a basis for inferring the ten-year risk of osteoporotic fracture - both overall and hip fracture. This is possible thanks to the integrated EchoS software with the FRAX® calculator.
